Pumps designed under API requirements

“Hydrogas” Company has been manufacturing a line of oil pumps designed in accordance with API requirements since 2012.

 

Production of chemical pumps has been one of the manufacturing priorities.

The needs of oil and petrochemical companies for state-of-the-art pumping equipment that would meet the highest requirements of domestic and international standards (API 610\ISO13709\GOST32601-2013) have shaped a new priority: development and manufacture of centrifugal pumps designed under the requirements of the API/ISO standards for the technological processes used in oil, petrochemical and gas industries. The main function of these pumps is to ensure operational safety which defines the development and manufacturing characteristics.

The major tasks solved by these pumps are:

  • Safety of oil-refining processes;
  • Reliability of pumps;
  • Compatibility of pumps designed by different manufacturers (body materials, structural features, etc);
  • Standardization of pump units (end face mechanical seal chambers, etc);
  • Simplification of development and design of pumps and systems.

Selected properties of pumps designed under API 610\ISO13709\GOST32601-2013 include:

  • pump barrel withstands pressure over 4 MPa. Wall thickness of the barrel is designed to ensure allowable corrosion wear up to 3 mm over the pump’s service life;
  • bearing system service life over 25.000 hours of continuous operation;
  • materials used in the pumps conform to grades as defined by the standards;
  • mechanical seals and seal flush systems under API 610\ISO13709\GOST32601-2013 standards;
  • use of spark-proof labyrinth seals;
  • pump shafts and motor are connected by a steel diaphragm coupling with a spacer to ensure the possibility of replacing the sealing without disconnecting the pump from the piping systems;
  • pump frame is fitted with a pan to collect leakage liquid. All leakages are localized within the span of the baseplate;
  • minimum vibration level – root mean square value of speed 3 mm/s or less;
  • rotor dynamic balancing – balance grade G2.5 GOST/ISO1940-1.
